nano Versatile Dual I/O

nIO is a compact, versatile 2HP 1U Eurorack module designed to route audio, CV, Gate, and MIDI signals from the back of your case to your front panel. Originally created as a streamlined alternative to µMIO, nIO is the perfect solution when you don't need dedicated USB or standard MIDI ports but still want to interface with modules featuring internal expansion headers.

Each module comes with a set of 6 jumper cables (2x Red, 2x White, 2x Black). No soldering is required: simply plug and play to expand your system’s connectivity instantly.

By default, nIO is assembled and delivered with the clean, unmarked side of the panel facing forward, offering a minimalist look that blends seamlessly into any rack.

If your routing requires visual cues, the front panel is fully reversible. You can easily flip it over to reveal the alternative side featuring printed arrows (ideal for identifying specific inputs and outputs).

The connectors are suitable for :

• Mono signals with normalization
• Stereo audio or dual CV/Gate paths
• MIDI TRS routing and conversion

Connections on the PCB are clearly identified by T (Tip), N (Normalization), R (Ring), and S (Sleeve) for each connector. Because the connectors do not share any internal signals, a ground connection may be required to both sleeves depending on your audio, CV, or gate configuration.

Beyond simple signal routing, nIO can be used as a straightforward MIDI TRS-A to TRS-B converter (or vice versa). Simply connect the internal sockets to each other while swapping the Tip (T) and Ring (R) signals.
